Responsibility Strategy

Below, you can read about the points that Thygesen Textile Vietnam is working on and/or has achieved in relation to our responsibility strategy:

At Thygesen Textile Vietnam, we prioritize strong and transparent processes in our collaboration with suppliers. We continuously update our Code of Conduct and follow established procedures for onboarding new suppliers. Risk assessments are a central part of our approach, and we therefore work systematically with due diligence throughout the entire supply chain.

We take pride in delivering high-quality products. This obligates us to ensure full traceability across the supply chain – starting with our largest suppliers and going all the way back to the origin of the materials. Therefore, mapping of supplier tiers and segmentation is a key priority.

At Thygesen Textile Vietnam, we are dedicated to reducing waste and ensuring a more resource-efficient production. We continuously strive to maintain and develop relevant certifications, enabling us to meet both industry standards and our customers’ increasing expectations. As a natural part of our sustainability efforts, we are currently developing a responsible sourcing policy that will strengthen transparency and accountability across our value chain.

We work strategically with a material strategy that ensures high standards of both quality and responsibility. Our testing strategy is primarily based on specific customer requirements, such as chemical testing. Where no such requirements exist, we apply our own standards to ensure materials comply with applicable regulations as well as our internal quality requirements. At the same time, we have a clear ambition – together with our customers – to increase the share of sustainable materials used in our products.

At Thygesen Textile Vietnam, we implement a structured HR program that ensures professional recruitment and onboarding of new employees. Through e-learning programs and structured introductions, we strengthen both professional competencies and cultural understanding. We also maintain a strong focus on employee well-being – both mental and physical – as well as on fostering open and clear communication across the organization.

We are committed to integrating sustainability and responsibility into all future communication. This means ensuring that our messaging reflects our values, documented results, and concrete actions in responsible business conduct. Our communication must be transparent, trustworthy, and create value for customers, partners, and employees – while also highlighting our responsibility towards society and the environment, as well as showcasing our quality standards

As part of our commitment to supply chain transparency, we have set a target to achieve full mapping of our tier 2 and tier 3 suppliers by 2028. This will strengthen our ability to document responsible sourcing, ensure traceability, and meet international regulatory requirements as well as customer expectations.

In connection with packaging, we are working systematically to increase the use of recycled materials. Respecting specific customer requirements, we have set a target to increase the use of recycled packaging materials by 30% by 2028. This is an important step in our efforts to reduce resource consumption and strengthen a more circular value chain

To reduce waste and optimize resource use, we apply lean management principles in our fabric cutting processes. Through methods such as 5S and Kaizen, we focus on continuous improvements that minimize waste and lower the overall costs associated with waste.

From 2025, we will measure and report our CO₂e emissions in scope 1 and 2 on a quarterly basis, as well as track our waste volumes. At the same time, we are working to define clear measurement points for scope 3 emissions with the aim of starting measurements in 2026. Based on this data, we will set concrete reduction targets for our total CO₂e emissions to systematically document progress and reduce our climate footprint – using 2023 as the baseline year.
